Government launches support finder tool for businesses

The UK government has launched a new online platform to help businesses access financial support during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The government has rolled out a range of loans, tax reliefs and cash grants to combat the adverse economic effects of the COVID-19 lockdown.

The Coronavirus Business Support Finder Tool asks business owners to fill out a short online questionnaire. They are then directed to a list of the financial support for which they may be eligible.

The tool takes the user through various questions about their business, including location, number of employees and turnover.

Commenting on the launch of the tool, Chancellor Rishi Sunak said: 'We've launched an unprecedented package of support to protect jobs, businesses and incomes during these challenging times. Millions are already benefiting and this new online tool will allow firms and individuals to identify what help they are entitled to in a matter of minutes.'

No person will make a great business who wants to do it all himself. A goal without a plan is just a wish. To accept good advice is but to increase one's own ability. Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. Advice is like snow; the softer it falls, the longer it dwells upon, and the deeper it sinks into the mind. Whenever you see a successful business, someone once made a courageous decision.
